We all like coffee. Some like it sweeter, others like it black, but in the end it is always the first drink we look for in the morning. Personally, I love trying out different types of coffee. However, nowadays, going out and getting coffee frequently is quite expensive. This is why I decided that I will become mine and my family’s “at home barista”. Therefore, here I’m offering you one of my most popular items in my at home café: the cappuccino.

This is not just a simple cappuccino that we all know with coffee, steamed milk and foam. My cappuccino has its own special twist.

For this specific cappuccino,I create a cloud-like textured coffee with espresso and brown sugar. This first part is a little but like the dalgona coffee we all made during quarantine a few years back except in this  one we don’t use instant coffee but espresso.

Afterwards, I add some whipping cream and room temperature milk mixed with espresso and simple syrup. Now, I strongly recommend you add room temperature milk because if you add warm milk, it will dissolve the foamed up coffee and the whipping cream.  You might ask then why not cold milk. Well, to be honest that one is up to you. I simply think this coffee is best when it’s not too cold nor too warm but you can try it however you like and decide what works best for you.

And there, you will have a really delicious coffee, not too sweet and not too bitter. Trust me, this is such an easy and delicious coffee to make that will help you impress all your guests when they come over. Today I’m offering you a cup of latte which you can easily make after a long day at work, sitting comfortably on your cozy couch listening to music or reading a book. Just imagine the taste and the smell of that warm cup of coffee.

Cappuchinno

Ingredients  

  • espresso
  • 100 ml milk
  • 25 ml simple syrup
  • 1 tbp brown sugar
  • 25 ml heavy cream (whipping cream)

Decoration

  • instant coffee

Instructions 

Make the espresso.

  • Use an espresso machine to make a shot of espresso.
  • Pour the milk into the glass.
  • Add half of the espresso and the simple syrup to the milk.
  • In another cup add the brown sugar and the other half of the espresso. Using an electric coffee blender to mix it all together and get a creamy froth.
  • In another cup, using a hand mixer or blender, whisk the heavy cream.
  • Take a few spoons of the whipped cream and put them in the glass with the milk. Then put in a few spoons of the coffee foam . Alternate the cream and the coffee until they run out.

Decoration

  • Then sprinkle it with instant coffee for decoration.
