I made these chocolate baskets on June 1st – International Children’s day. I didn’t have any gifts for my daughters, so I decided to surprise them with something beautiful and delicious.

Chocolate baskets with a hidden strawberry inside wrapped in cream and condensed milk. Decorated with whipped cream.

Chocolate Baskets

Ingredients

Baskets

  • 200 g chocolate chips

Filling

  • 250 g whipping cream
  • 150 ml condensed milk
  • 4 strawberries

Decoration

  • 250 g whipping cream
  • 2-3 tbsp powdered sugar

Instructions

  • Melt 150 g of chocolate in a water bath. Remove from the heat and add the remaining 50 g to temper it.
  • Wait a while for the chocolate temperature to drop and start making the baskets. I used muffin papers.
  • I put chocolate on the bottom and sides and then put them in a metal muffin tin to dry the chocolate there. If you think that the walls are too thin and if breaks easily when the chocolate dries, cover the sides wit chocolate once again. Once all four baskets are ready, set them aside.
  • Pour a little bit of chocolate on parchment paper and make a rectangular shape. The approximate dimensions are about 15-16 cm by 7-8 cm. I cut 4 circles out of the rectangle. I leave a small distance between them. The diameter of my circles is 6.5 cm. They fit perfectly on the muffin paper baskets.
  • The chocolate will dry very quickly, so cut the circles in a few minutes before the chocolate gets very hard. I used a round cookie cutter (diameter of 6.5 cm). Set aside.
  • For the cream inside the basket, put the condensed milk in the bowl of the mixer and beat well.
  • Add the cream and continue to beat until you get steady peaks.
  • Return to the baskets and remove the muffin papers. Put a little cream on the bottom of each basket and put the strawberry.
  • Fill with cream and close with chocolate caps.
  • If you have some chocolate left, put it in a small ziploc bag, cut one corner with scissors and close the basket well with it (as shown in the photos).
  • For decoration, beat the cream with powdered sugar and decorate as desire

Enjoy! 🙂
