Truffles are the simplest candy to make : condensed milk and cocoa powder and you will create something elegant and delicious.

Generally, they are rolled in cocoa powder and you can add some alcohol to them but my truffles were for my children and I decided to skip those two ingredients and use chocolate sprinkles instead.

Chocolate and Valentine’s day are the ultimate duo. You can make these truffles for special occasions or for holidays at home for your family, like I did. The thing that stands out the most in the making of these truffles is their long stay in the fridge.

Ingredients

  • 30 g butter
  • 1 can condensed caramel milk
  • 40 g cocoa powder
  • chocolate sprinkles

Instructions

  • Put a pot on low heat and melt the butter. Add the condensed milk.
  • Stir in the cocoa powder and continue stirring for 5-10 minutes until the mixture begins to pull away from the edge of the pot. The mixture should be thick. When you run the spoon through it, it should separate into two and it should stay like that for a few seconds before coming back to its initial position.
  • Spread the mixture into a bowl and refrigerate for a few hours.
  • When the mixture is set, roll it into small balls and coat them in the chocolate sprinkles.
  • Store the candies in the freezer.
