This is an easy, fast and delicious recipe. You can eat this for breakfast, for brunch or as a snack. It’s the perfect thing to begin a Sunday morning with, when the whole family is at home.

The preparation is extremely easy, you simply put a little bit of Philadelphia cream in the prepared puff pastry rectangles, add any sausage you have in the fridge on top and put them to bake. Bake for about 10 minutes. Don’t put the eggs in the beginning because we will bake them for about 20 minutes and the eggs will be overcooked. That is why we add them later on.

Easy Puff Pastry Ham Eggs

Ingredients

  • 450 g puff pastry
  • 4 tbsp cream cheese, philadelphia
  • 4 slices ham
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp milk
  • sesame seeds
  • 4 eggs
  • salt
  • black pepper
  • red pepper (cayenne)
  • parsley

Instructions

  • Divide the puff pastry into four rectangles. Cut strips on all four sides of each rectangle and then place them on top in order to create borders. This will allow you to add the egg later without having it spill everywhere.
  • Put one tbsp cbeese cream in each rectangle and then add a piece of ham. Coat the four borders of each rectangle with an egg yolk beaten with a little milk and then sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake at 400°F for about 10 minutes.
  • After put on egg in each rectangle, sprinkle with salt, black pepper and red pepper. Bake for another 10 min.
