Brownies!!! I love them! They are one of my favorite desserts. I’ll share with you my recipe for brownies. Usually everyone has their own way of making brownies to their taste.

Of course, the fundamental ingredients are all the same for all recipes, but we all add our little special something to it to make it extra tasty. Some add more baking powder and increase the baking time to make it more like a chocolate cake. Others add chocolate chips to get a richer chocolate sweet flavor.

Mostly all the brownies look the same. But that is also up to personal taste. You can decorate your brownie with frosting or sprinkle some nuts on top or even add them in the batter.

Today, the recipe I will show you is quite ordinary. I’ve been making it for years. But if i had to be honest, lately I started decreasing the baking time a little bit and I’m loving the result. The brownies are soft and the slight crust on top is perfect.

My recipe is for 14 brownies, if you want more, you can double the ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 70 g flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 100 g chocolate chips
  • 90 g unsalted butter

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar. Add the vanilla extract and brown sugar. Mix well.
  • Sift together the flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa powder. Mix well.
  • In a small bowl, mix the chocolate chips and butter. Stir in a water bath until the chocolate and butter are completely melted. Add it to other ingredients and mix well.
  • Line a 8,5″x8,5″ baking pan with parchment paper and pour the dough.
  • Bake at 370 °F for about 25 min.
  • You can garnish it with powdered sugar or cocoa powder. If you like ice cream, this dessert goes perfectly with it.

    Notes

    1. Baking time also depends on the baking pan you’re using. For example, my tray is made of thick glass so it takes me more time to bake. If you bake in an aluminum pan, the baking time will be less as it is thinner. Also, the baking time depends on the amount of products. If you cook a double dose, then it will take a little longer to bake.
    2. My advice to you is after the 20th minute, check on the brownie. When you insert a toothpick on it, it should come out dry. However, be careful not to overcook it.
