Today I made this incredibly delicious and light chocolate pudding. I know that there are many boxed pudding mixes in the store that we can easily prepare in a few minutes, but here I offer you a homemade chocolate pudding that, in my opinion, is richer and tastier. It’s really simple, once you know all the ingredients, you just have to boil it and you serve it with a decoration of your preference. As I told you, the cream is so delicious with a rich chocolate flavor. And, hopefully, when you taste it you will be so content with the result that you’ll never use any boxed pudding mix again 😉 .

Do you know what the difference is between chocolate pudding and chocolate mousse? The pudding is boiled with cornstarch and it has a thick consistency, semisolid and quite dense. While the mousse is not cooked, it has a lighter and airier texture.

You can serve the pudding like that with a simple decoration like a grated chocolate or whipping cream or any kind of fruit. You can also add it to other desserts, as I’ll show you in my next recipes.

  • Boil the ingredients over medium heat. When it begins to boil, pour in the chocolate chips.
  • Stir well while it gets thick, that can take less than 10 minutes.
  • Once removed from the heat, add the vanilla extract and butter and mix well.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 1 hour.
  • Decorate as desired.
  • I decorated my pudding with grated chocolate.
