These little pizzas are very tasty and easy to make. My family and I love puff pastry and therefore I experiment a lot with it. This is one of the recipes that my kids adore. Usually before I put them at the table I set aside a few of the small pizzas so that my kids can have lunch for school.

Usually I roll the dough by the long side and the rolls turn out to be a so little just like appetizers. However, today I decided to make them a little bigger and so I rolled it on the short side. It was the little hard to cut the rolls, but the ending result was really good. Finally everyone at home loved the taste and the size of the pizzas. You can change the ingredients according your taste or depending on what you have in your refrigerator.

Easy Puff Pastry Ham Eggs

The preparation is extremely easy, you simply put a little bit of Philadelphia cream in the prepared puff pastry rectangles, add any sausage you have in the fridge on top and put them to bake. Bake for about 10 minutes. Don’t put the eggs in the beginning because we will bake them for about 20 minutes and the eggs will be overcooked.

Ingredients

  • 900 g puff pastry
  • 130 ml tomato sauce
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp basil
  • 150 g dry sausage
  • ½ red pepper
  • ½ orange pepper
  • 100 g olives
  • 150 g mozzarella
  • 150 g cheddar

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F.
  • In a bowl pour the tomato sauce and add the salt, the oil and the basil. Mix it all together.
  • Unroll the pastry puff onto over a plastic wrap sheet. Evenly spread the mixed tomato sauce over the pastry puff. Cut into small cubes the dried sausage and the pepper. Scatter evenly the sausage cubes, les olives, the pepper cubes and the grated mozzarella and cheddar over the tomato sauce.
  • Starting at one of the short ends of the pastry sheet and roll. Let it chill in the fridge for 30 minutes or so.
  • Take a very sharp knife and cut the roll into 12 equal slices, laying them flat on 2 non-stick baking trays as you go.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until the rolls have puffed and have become golden.
